Recommendations for safe driving in cuatri

Within the framework of its “CAFAM Commitment to Road Safety” campaign that the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Chamber started on November 28, we continue working to strengthen road education for the use of motor vehicles.
With the beginning of the summer season and the increased use of this motor vehicle, it is important to raise awareness about the correct circulation and use of them. That is why the Chamber that brings together the main motor vehicle terminals in the country (CAFAM) presents fundamental recommendations and advice for the safety of quadricycle drivers, fundamentally considering the influx of users on Argentine beaches.
Protection equipment
Clothing: The use of the helmet is mandatory. Make sure it is the appropriate size for the driver (slightly adjusted, but not uncomfortable). It must be in good condition (approved, without bumps and in force in accordance with the provisions of the manufacturer) and must be adjusted.
Gloves, goggles (in the case of not using a closed helmet) jersey with long sleeves. Long pants, sturdy shoes.
Fundamental management techniques: Postures
Mounting Position (Driving Position)

Located right in the center of the seat.

Head and eyes up, looking straight ahead.

Relaxed shoulders, raised elbows forming an angle between arm and forearm.

Hands always on the handlebar and knees bent towards the fuel tank.
Posture to take curves

To make a turn: move the entire body weight slightly forward and towards the inside of the curve. Turn the handle and place the gaze in the same direction of the curve.
Descent posture (during the descent of a slope)
To lower a slope use the engine brake. Use the rear brake (if not enough, apply the front very smoothly). Stand on the footrests and pull the body weight back
Ascent posture (during the ascent of a slope)

To climb a slope it is important to stand on the footrests and pull the body weight forward. In the case of interrupting the ascent, maintain the posture, and use the front brake to descend.

Basic driving strategies: Observe and pay attention to the environment in which we circulate, identify situations that can be foreseen, ie situations that could happen, decide and execute the appropriate maneuver with determination and speed.
