The new Harley FXDR-114
26/10/2018
Harley-Davidson® Buenos Aires presented its new machine at the Motorcycle Show in Argentina.
This new motorcycle Softail family is characterized by being lighter, more powerful and with the greater angle of inclination of all the motorcycles of the brand. This launch is part of the ambitious plan of Harley-Davidson to launch high-impact motorcycles by 2022.
Within the framework of the Motorcycle Show, Harley-Davidson Buenos Aires presented its new Softail FXDR 114 model 2019, a motorcycle with a revolutionary design, inspired by the world of competitions and with 1,868 cc of power. In addition, at the stand of the Milwaukee brand that just turned 115, you can see more than 10 motorcycles and one of its three-wheeled models.

The new Harley-Davidson FXDR 114 is a motorcycle that follows the aesthetic line marked by the Fat Bob 2018, but with much more slender lines, less massive and with a very aggressive attitude, which is inspired by the world of drag racing . This model breaks with all the schemes established by the historic Milwaukee brand.
This new model boasts the powerful Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine of 1868 cc and water cooled. Milwaukee-Eight engines retain the iconic 45-degree V-Twin cylinder angle with a wide top end
accented by a single camshaft design that tapers to a slim lower end to show off your muscular contours. The influence of the racing style on the Harley-Davidson FXDR 114 is very clear, with the inclined inverted front fork, the imposing intake and exhaust systems; and the contrast of proportions between the tires and the trimmed rear section.
Harley-Davidson has endowed this model with aluminum elements like the rear swingarm (43% lighter than steel ones, almost 5 kg less). The chassis of the new FXDR 114, which hides the rear suspension under the engine, is combined with 19-inch front aluminum wheels (Ace type) and 18-inch lenticular rear tire, with a fender anchored directly to the swingarm . This is where the authentic heritage and the personalized soul come together with a touch of modernity and technology to offer unrivaled driving. The mudguards have also been manufactured from a lighter composite material.
Given the use of aluminum in many pieces that until now were made of steel, there is a considerable increase in acceleration compared to motorcycles that already used this engine. In addition the Harley-Davidson FXDR 114 promises the highest degree of tilt of a model of the brand to the present. Worldwide, the new Harley-Davidson FXDR 114 model will be available in six different colors: Vivid Black, Black, Industrial Gray, Wicked Red, Bonneville Salt and Rawhide.
Among the other motorcycles, Harley-Davidson will exhibit an XL during the Motor Show
