This year, the English brand
Bentley, the Italian design house Zagato and the emblematic Chevy will lead the anniversaries of the 19th edition of one of the most important examples of classic vehicles in the world.
With the participation of more than 1000 classic and historical vehicles of international category carefully selected, this new edition of Autoclásica is that time of the year where time stops for four days to revive the history of the automotive industry and celebrate the preservation of their heritage .
Framed in the great boulevard of the San Isidro Hippodrome and its spectacular gardens, Argentine families and tourists from all over the world will be able to enjoy again vehicles from all periods, from those of the late nineteenth century to those with only 30 years of history have already left their mark on the world of classics.
This real party, organized by the CAC, proposes a journey that evokes the passage of time through cars, motorcycles, utilities, agricultural machinery, buses and military vehicles that starred in our history, putting the focus every year on special exhibitions
In this edition, Autoclásica renews its proposal with the celebration of the British brand Bentley, which is celebrating a century of life; and the tribute to 100 years of the Italian design house Zagato, whose vehicle models have marked it as a legend in the automotive industry. Also in the "Plaza Argentina", sponsored by the Banco Provincia, will be celebrated the 50th anniversary of the launch of the Chevy model in Argentina, one of the classics of Chevrolet, which took place between 1969 and 1978, until General Motors left the country .
On the other hand, lovers of two wheels will find a "Neighborhood of Motorcycles" with more vehicles and more services to spend four unforgettable days. In the case of motorcycles, the CAC will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the debut of the Honda CB750 Four, the first four-cylinder motorcycle of the Japanese brand manufactured in 1969. In turn, in this exclusive space, which will focus more of 300 incredible examples of all time, there will also be music, live shows, club stands and new gastronomy spaces to experience the lifestyle of the two-wheel fans in first person.
The already classic "Autojumble" and "Motojumble" will also have a prominent place, where the restorers can find the piece they were looking for, some starting point for a future restoration or simply relive the history through the old objects.
As every year, the great clubs of historical brands from all over the country and South America will be present. The sponsors of Autoclásica 2019 will present their latest market news and what is to come. All this will be accompanied with an excellent gastronomic proposal to enjoy the family walk.
During the days of the exhibition a rigorous jury will evaluate the cars and motorcycles exhibited to reward the best of each of the categories and finally consecrate the expected "Best of Show 2019". Cars, motorcycles and special vehicles over 30 years old will compete, which are in perfect operation, either in their original state or restored, conserving the techniques and materials that existed in their year of manufacture.
On Sunday October 13 will be the award which will distinguish the vehicles in the sample. As every year, the special prize "Germán Sopeña" will also be awarded to the best contemporary sports car, chosen by accredited journalists who visit the exhibition; and the "Gustavo Fosco" award for Design, which will be voted by a group of prestigious designers.
Autoclásica will allocate part of the proceeds from the parking lot to the acquisition of highly complex equipment for the Maternal and Child Hospital of San Isidro "Dr. Carlos Arturo Gianantonio. " In 2019, Autoclásica is declared of Tourist Interest by the Ministry of Tourism of the Argentine Nation.
Autoclásica is the only sample in South America for the quantity, quality, variety, singularity and presentation status of the exposed vehicles, carefully selected and selected to represent the best exponents of each historical epoch. The sample will be located on the wooded property of 9 hectares located on the Boulevard de los Jardines del Hipódromo de San Isidro, with pedestrian access at the corner of Av. Santa Fe and Av. Márquez; and with access to the parking lot through Av. Santa Fe and Av. of National Unity. It will open its doors on Friday 11, Saturday 12, Sunday 13 and Monday 14 October (long weekend), between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
